FAQ

1-What is a site plan?

A site plan is a bird's eye view of a lot. Site plans show the boundaries and dimensions of the property and the main structures found within the property such as buildings, paths, landscape, swimming pools, etc. A site plan is also called a plot plan.

2-Who needs a site plan?

Site plans may be required by the local permit department before a permit is issued for doing work on the property.

3-Are your site plans stamped?

USA SITE PLANS does not provide stamped plans. Engineers and Surveyors provide stamped plans. Engineers and Surveyors typically charge more than $1,000 for a stamped site plan. If your local permit department requires a stamped plan contact an Engineer or a Surveyor.

4-How long until the site plan is completed?

Site plans are emailed next day for orders placed Monday to Thursday. Orders placed on Friday will be emailed on over the weekend.

5-What are the sizes of the site plans?

Sizes available are 8.5" x 11", 11" x 17", and 24" x 36". The default size is 8.5" x 11" unless indicated otherwise by the customer.

6-Are site plan files available as a dwg extension?

PDF files are included with all the site plans. DWG file extension costs an additional $15. DWG file extensions are useful to Engineers and other professionals.

7-What if I need my site plan edited?

If needed we can edit your site plan. Please let us know how we can be of help. We strive to deliver excellent customer service.

8-Will you come to my home to get mapping data?

We obtain data from a variety of sources including county website, mapping companies, and Google Maps. It is not necessary to come to your home in order to draw a site plan.

9-Do you include setbacks in your plans?

Setbacks are included in our Standard Site Plans and Premium Site Plans.

10-What is the price?

For a Basic Site Plan the price is $99. For a Standard Site Plan the price is $119. Premium Site Plan costs $159.

11-What geographic areas are covered?

USA SITE PLANS covers all addresses in the United States.

12-What are the scales of the site plans?

Scales can be 1"=2', 1"=5', 1"=10', 1"=20', 1"=30', etc. The scale indicated on the customer's site plan will depend on the size of the lot and the plot size selected by the customer.

13-Do you offer other features on site plans?

We offer other features at the customer's request. Choose Premium Site Plan and let us know what feature you would like added. We will add your request as long as the information is either provided by you or is publicly available online.

14-What other services do you offer?

Besides Site Plans we offer other drafting services such as Architectural Drafting, BIM, CAD, and Structural Detailing. Contact us for a quote.

15-What is a setback?

Setbacks limit how close you can build to the property boundaries, roads, septic systems, wetlands, and shorelines. Setback standards can be obtained from your local zoning office
